The cosecant function is the ratio of the hypotenuse divided by the opposite side.

It is characterized by the following relationship between the function and the angle.

                    0 degrees               Undefined ( +/- Infinity)
                   90 degrees               1
                  180 degrees               Undefined ( +/- Infinity)
                  270 degrees               -1
The same trigonometric values repeat every 360 degrees.

The cosecant function is the reciprocal of the sine function.

This makes the cosecant function equal to 1 divided by the sine function.
