The secant function is the ratio of the hypotenuse divided by the adjacent side.

                   90 degrees               Undefined ( +/- Infinity)
                  180 degrees               -1
                  270 degrees               Undefined ( +/- Infinity)
The same trigonometric values repeat every 360 degrees.

The secant function is the reciprocal of the cosine function.

This makes the secant function equal to 1 divided by the cosine function.
